This Privacy Policy applies to the Khmer Hybrid Calendar mobile application (available on Google Play Store) and the web application hosted at https://khc.loemheng.com/, created and maintained by Heng LOEM ("we", "us", or "our").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding any data accessed or processed. This policy explains what information is processed, why it is processed, how it is secured, and your rights regarding your data in compliance with Google Play Developer Policy and international privacy standards.

2. Information We Collect and Receive

We strictly follow data minimization principles. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) to use the core features of the calendar.

A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The application uses your device's local storage (such as Android app preferences or browser localStorage) to save your personal preferences. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:

• Theme Preferences: Selected accent color (e.g., Teal, Blue, Purple, Orange, Pink, Green) and Dark/Light mode setting.
• Language Selection: Preferred interface language (Khmer, English, Chinese, Vietnamese).
• View Settings: Calendar layout and filter preferences.

B. Network and Technical Diagnostics

When you use the app, standard anonymous technical information may be transmitted to deliver calendar content and ensure stability:

• Public Holiday & Lunar Calculation Data: The app fetches Cambodian public holidays, Buddhist holy days, and astronomical moon phase data via secure HTTPS requests.
• Aggregated Anonymous Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics for general web metrics (such as page visit count, general country/region, and device type). This data is aggregated, anonymized, and does not track personal identities or unique hardware identifiers.

C. Information You Voluntarily Provide

• Support & Bug Reports: If you contact us via email (info@loemheng.com), we receive your email address and any details you provide solely to resolve your issue.
• Calendar Subscriptions & Feed Diagnostics: If you choose to subscribe to our calendar feed via Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or iCal, incoming sync requests record anonymous technical telemetry: the client application type (User-Agent), coarse geolocation (country and city resolved at the edge), masked IP address (e.g., 192.168.***.***), and synchronization timestamps. This data is processed strictly to measure active subscriber counts (24h/7d/30d), diagnose feed reliability, and prevent abuse, with zero personal profiling.
• Voluntary Donations: If you choose to support the project via ABA Bank QR or Buy Me a Coffee, payment processing occurs entirely through those third-party platforms. We do not receive, process, or store any payment card numbers or banking credentials.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

To avoid doubt, Khmer Hybrid Calendar does NOT collect, request, or access:

• Personal identification details (Real name, national ID, phone number, home address).
• User contact lists, address books, or call logs.
• Precise GPS location data.
• Camera, microphone, audio, or biometric records.
• Photos, media files, or device documents (except when you explicitly export a calendar image or PDF file to your download directory).

We work with trusted third-party service providers that assist in app delivery. Each provider operates under strict privacy terms:

• Google Play Services: Required by Android for app distribution, updates, and crash reports. Google Privacy Policy.

• Supabase: Cloud database utilized for public holiday data and subscription management. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Telegram Bot API (Optional): If you opt in to receive daily Khmer lunar day notifications via Telegram, your Telegram chat ID is processed solely to send scheduled holiday alerts.

6. Data Sharing, Sale, and Disclosure

We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data with data brokers or advertising networks.

We may disclose information only under the following limited conditions:

• Legal Compliance: If required by valid court order, subpoena, or applicable law.
• Protection of Rights: To protect the security, rights, and integrity of the application and users against abuse.

7. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

• Local Preferences: Stored locally on your device. You can immediately delete all stored data by going to Android Settings > Apps > Khmer Hybrid Calendar > Storage > Clear Data, or by clearing your browser site data.
• Voluntary Correspondence: Emails sent for bug reports or support are retained only for as long as needed to address your feedback.
• Subscription Deletion Request: If you subscribed to Telegram calendar alerts or wish to verify or delete any associated email/chat ID, simply send an email to info@loemheng.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request", and your data will be permanently purged within 7 business days.

8. Data Security

We employ industry-standard security safeguards. All data communication between the application and external servers is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). We do not store sensitive personal information on unencrypted servers.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Google Play Families Policy)

Khmer Hybrid Calendar is a general audience educational and cultural calendar utility. We do not knowingly collect, request, or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@loemheng.com, and we will promptly remove such records.

10. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including:
